Best Dessert Ever...

...or at least pretty darn close to the best dessert ever.  These delicious cookie ice cream sandwiches were featured in the July 2011 edition of Martha Stewart Living along with some other delicious recipes that I can't wait to try: Pound Cake with Peaches & Cream, Blueberry Lemon Tea Cakes, and Chocolate Chip Cookie Cupcakes (they have a cookie baked in the bottom!).

These are the mother of ice cream sandwiches. Homemade cookie dough pieces in vanilla ice cream and chocolate ganache sandwiched between two delicious chocolate chip cookies.  Just a little piece of heaven right here in my kitchen.

We might have a new Father's Day dessert tradition.

Father's Day Breakfast

My girls woke up early on Father's Day (6:20 a.m.) and were anxious to get Father's Day breakfast ready for daddy.  We decided to make Martha Stewart's recipe for Croque Madame sandwiches...yummy!  So yummy in fact that we didn't get them photographed until they looked like this:
